    What to log? 16196396 '95 K2500 5.7 NV4500 5sp

Thanks to this great site I am using TunerPro RT to log my Dad's 1995 K2500 5.7 NV4500 5sp truck!
I swapped in the smallest Lunati VooDoo cam and I'm sure it needs tune work!

There doesn't seem to be a whole lot written about my ECM, other than it is similar to a 7747, so I thought I would share what I found.
    My ECM is a 161939396 BCC:BDTP

I found my .xdf & .adx for TunerPro RT in post 4
    http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Inj...5-speed-manual

Everything is connected and I did an idle log today! And also found a fuel leak I need to fix....

Is there any favorite threads for me to read to set up TunerPro to get the most useful data?

I'm still learning, but I hope to generate the logs needed for EagleMark to tune this thing up for me soon!

Oh, for newbies like me...this little write up was helpful getting started along with TunerPro starter Tutorial!

Just for the heck of it, here's a pic of Dad's truck.

I would start by setting up the history table in the .adx file...http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Inj...es-in-TunerPro

With the history tables, the BLM's can be used to adjust rich / lean conditions.

I don't have a copy of the BDTP.bin file. Maybe you can post a copy of the BDTP.bin file? Once I have a copy of the BDTP.bin file, I could help set up the history tables.

Thanks Dave!! Unfortunately I don't have a way to read the bin file.... But that thread you gave me is pretty good and I will set up history tables.

    Anything else I should do?

The history table is set up with using the parameters from the .bin file. Many .bin files have similar history tables, but there not all the same.

You could set up the Monitors and Data Lists if you feel adventurous. Below are some screen shots from the Monitors.

I've read the BDTP PROM Chip. See attached.

I'm not sure if the .xdf is 100% accurate, the maximum spark advance is 0 (zero) degrees? The other parameters seem OK.

I can't find another $9A .bin file to compare with. Can anyone help with another $9A .bin to compare with?

The BDUZ bin file is a $9A .bin, http://www.gearhead-efi.com/gearhead-efi/bin/BDUZ.BIN. You may try it as a comparison, but it is for light duty 3/4 so not sure if it will be a direct comparison, as I think that there were some differences between the heavy duty and light duty 5.7s, with the biggest one being that the heavy duty has lower compression ratio for durability. Maybe someone can confirm this. Hope this helps.

I found a couple more here....

    This BDUY

And this BDPF. I think the '93 trucks were also $9A, right?
