Newbie working on marine TBI conversion

Hi, was refererred to this site for info. I'm converting carb to tbi for my 350 gm boat engines. I chose the tbi as it was offered by mercruiser and crusader. I searched the site and was looking for any info on a generic tune. I'm using a stock truck tune, no trans control, also having temp set to 160 degrees and idle rpm 700.

So any links to good reading is appreciated.

Im starting with $42.bin I should have my harness's and tbi items next week. I found very little info for marine use. I'll keep everything tame and see what happens. I usually run my engines from 2000-3500 cruise speeds, occasionly push to WOT to 4500+
I'll see how how it runs.

My Marine experience is with MPFI. See Pics below.

The fuel return is just below the fuel pump inlet. The fuel pumps are "UL" approved. The MPFI system has custom made O2 sensor fittings. The MPFI system runs "Closed Loop". Fuel economy is much better (about 35%), well worth the cost of the MPFI upgrade!

This link might help with some TBI Marine information...http://home.hiwaay.net/~davida1/boat.htm

harness.jpgHi, figure Ill give an update. I got my harness's and needed something to protect the ECM's. I mounted them in plano boxes. got lucky and found a size that would hold them and still had enough room for the aldl and cel. I know they are not water proof, but they are weather resistant. My 32 ft has fairly protected engine compartments so it should be ok. I got my new distributors and sensors, just waiting on fuel pumps and O2 spacer plates. As soon as I get the other items and a few warm days, I'll get them installed.

I'm also in the process of adding TBI fuel injection to a boat. My application is in a 19ft inboard ski boat with a 351W ford. I look forward to hearing your updates.
