    7060 guys, in here!

So after getting irritated at certain things in this ECM I knew I should be able to adjust but couldn't, I took it upon myself to dig into the XDF that EagleMark and the others had so kindly given us 7060 guys as a starter. No, I'm not an expert by any means, but I am working on it, and have already successfully added some IAC parameters that I think are useful. I will be adding and testing everything that I change, and will post it up soon.

Anyone have suggestions? I'm also trying to get some of the parameters grouped a bit better so you're searching for them less...

I use the parameter search function from the tools menu, might help save time?

I wish I could get involved to help with this project but have health issues that are going to keep me from doing so for next few months. There's other guys here that will help add things to the TP XDF when you find them in the dissasembly. It'd be a good time for some more people to learn!

I've added about 5 parameters just dealing with the iac... And the are a couple more air parameters that were mis marked as doing one thing when they actually do another. When I get back home I'll post up what I have so far.

parameter search sucks, since there are many things you could call any particular parameter, takes too much guesswork, and it's too easy to miss things.

use nested categories, it's the way forward. put all your afr stuff, spark timing, idle control, error checking, whatever in its own category. you'll be so happy with it. look at my EE xdf in category view, you'll see what i mean http://resfilter.net/files/carstuff/EEX/EEX_2.3.zip

    1Bad...

I'd like to resurrect this thread. I'm going to be re-tuning my K3500 again (I'm buying another new G3 adapter from maotes). I'm hoping this solves my issues I had previously.

While I agree the 7060 has good potential....the 85 mask needs lots of help. Unfortunately I don't have the smarts to help too much in this aspect.

I haven't forgotten about it, still currently making changes when I get a chance. The few I've made work well, the open loop idle AFR limits and idle deadband work awesome for my mild cam.

    Which bin are you using?

My banc.bin uses closed loop idle.

Does anyone know which bin the banc superceded to?

I'm thinking of switching bins.....I want closed loop idle...because I'm planning on putting a vortec 454 in it with a small cam.

BAMY - $D8 Mask. It's an open loop bin same as the stock bin. I've tried closed loop idle and it wants to idle too lean, OL is much smoother and more responsive. I also think it's best to keep the bins as they were originally. OL bins act odd when you force them CL (idle varies, the idle flag never shows, etc)

I've tried a similar spark map to the BAMY and it detonated so incredibly bad on my truck it wasn't driveable. We're talking maxixing out the knock counts when cruising so the KS reset to 0 and would repeat. I have not dried the $D8. I've been using the $85. I can't imagine there's much differences between the two.

The Edelbrock 7161 has intake port exit dimensions of 1.6x1.94.

The vortec L29 heads has intake port dimensions of 1.7x1.9. (then tapers down about 1/2" into the port). Pretty close matchup with the performer rpm 7161.

The edelbrock TBI 3764 intake has port exit dimensions of 1.41x1.59. Not so great of a matchup comparatively.

I was looking at the comp cams Tri Power Extreme camshaft 01-535-8. specs:
