    Autoprom unable to program

    Hi -

I had been using Tunerpro and an Autoprom successfully for about a year, but now it is unable to verify against the buffer when burning a chip. It still emulates just fine and will verify the RAM against the buffer with out a problem.

If I read the file out of the chip after writing it, every value in the hex editor is FF until I get past the part of the bin with information in it, then all values are 00. It claims to have successfully erased the chip.

I'm not sure what happened or what is wrong. The USB cable has been replaced and I updated to the latest versions of Tunerpro and FTDI Drivers. I've also verified the offsets, numerous times.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Have you tried another chip?

FTDI Drivers have been causing many issues with many cables of late. Maybe revert back to old driver, this is the driver I had when I did the cable installation write up and still the drivers I have in all three laptops that all work fine with AutoProm and all cables.

Version 2.08.14 has been working for all.
For more on the driver issues check for link in this write up thread:

Then there's always a possibility the AutoProm has failed and needs service?
