I need some help and advice

Hello guys i'm hoping some of you can help me out.

My father and I are building a street rod out of my 49 Studebaker pickup.

We got a engine out of a donor truck that we want to use. I just need some help on knowing exactly what wires and sensors i'll need to make the truck run. here is the details:

    Donor motor:

350 cu in. 5.7L V-8 with Rochester TBI EFI Out of a 1990 Chevy c1500 Truck 700R4 automatic transmission

Mods i'm doing to the engine:

Converted to short water pump, V-belt system.
    Removed A/C and Power Steering
    Keep OEM alternator\
    Block hugger headers
    Changing Valve Covers
    Changing Air cleaner
    Switched to Mechanical Speedometer
Not using the OEM braker booster and master cylinder with electronics
    Not using Cruise control
    Not using electric wiper motor

There is a pile of wires and we plan on running a seperate wiring harness and fuse block for things like lights, radio, wipers, gauges. We just need to know what wires, sensors, and plugs we need to not only get the motor to run, but run well. we have a motor manual, but are a little confused and see some wires we cant identify. Also we've seen some write ups and such online, but we aren't knowledgeable enough with EFI to know what some people are talking about sometimes.

There are several options to modifications being planned.

For brackets, maybe Alan Grove Components http://www.alangrovecomponents.com/

For the valve covers, center bolt valve cover adapters from Jegs http://www.jegs.com/p/JEGS-Performan...57463/10002/-1 or maybe from Speedway http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Valve-...FSOCQgodry8A3Q

For the TBI wiring harness, an aftermarket Stand Alone TBI harness from Larry's Electric is an option. http://www.larryselectricsite.com/st...hp?productid=3 (I have the same Larry's Electric Universal TBI Wiring Harness posted here: http://portland.craigslist.org/clk/pts/4211838981.html )

Perhaps i should have been more clear. The list of things i have are either already done, or we are in the process of doing. So i dont need help with that

I need help with the wiring harness from the chevy truck. I plan on using NOTHING from the inside of the truck. I basically need to know what i need from the giant pile of wires in the engine compartment to get the motor running right once we try to start it up??? I have no plans to buy an aftermarket wiring setup, i just want to know if i need every sensor, or plug, or wire in that loom??

This link might help http://www.repairconnector.com/searc...=tps&x=11&y=12 they have a search feature. Type in TPS, IAC, CTS, MAP in the search window.

There is also the option to use parts store website to see what the connectors look like. http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/home.oap

Google is another option to find out what the connectors look like. https://www.google.com/

We have one that goes over the basics!
    http://www.gearhead-efi.com/gm-ecm-p...onversion.html

Your going to have to learn these sensors and follow the wiring, there's more diagrams here:
    http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Inj...Information-42

It is literally hundreds of decisions you need to handle one by one.

And here's one for an idea what to do with the harness:
