    Welcome to "Parts Hoarders Anonymous".......

In addition to older test equipment, I also seem to like having extra parts. Things such as complete throttle bodies and what not.

    Who else here is guilty?

Oh, there is that string of parts also.

The custom Dana 44 rear end is almost done.

It would take me about 3 pages to list the parts I'm hoarding, just for automotive, then there's all the electronics (bits and pieces)... That at least another page.

I'm trying to clean some of it out, but it's just not working.

I'm in about the same situation, It would literally take pages and pages for just the hard parts , not to mention the electronics , in fact last year I purchased a 48' semi trailer to store parts in as I was running out of room in my 28X48 shop , its just boarderline rediculous what you can acquire . Basically if it has to do with a small block or big block Chevy I more than likely have it .

I've been collecting things specifically for my engine, such as the ecm, tbi's and various parts.

And in addition, I have boxes of vacuum tubes, electronic parts and what not that I will probably never use........

It could take pages to list all I have, so I just kept it short. Heck, I probably have stuff I dont even know I have, or have forgotten that I have.
Its not just limited to automotive either. I have tons of brass, bullets, and powder for reloading.

I used to be really good about not keeping too much junk but I'm really doing very poorly now. I'm actually down to paths in the barn. It's 25' X 50' and has two stories. There's also the temp shelter outside with the Sunbird in it. And the Jeep chassis at the bottom of the driveway. And the computer room / library has a small path left. For me there's a combination of two things going on. 1) I know money's very tight so if I have some parts that will help an upcoming project, or might help if a current vehicle breaks, I keep it. 2)I've collected boxes of stuff to put on Ebay / Craigslist etc to try and generate some side cash. Problem is Ebay's turned into "buy my Chinese junk" marketplace and Craigslist seems to attract a special crowd of winners. I'll take a couple of photos if I have a chance.

    Hell, starting with the cars...
'36 Plymouth. Blew the engine two years ago. I've installed the new pistons but I haven't been able to do a valve job and order new valve springs yet.
'57 Pickup. RF tire is bad, couldn't afford replacements this summer.
'78 CJ Plow vehicle but would love to restore.
'79 Monte Carlo. Rusted, hope to find replacement chassis and start again.
'81 CJ chassis bought for frame
'83 Mercedes 300SD. I love playing with diesel stuff.
'89 Pontiac Sunbird turbo. Popped a brake line and haven't had time to fix.
'92 Toyota pickup. Cab and fuel tank are rusty so it doesn't pass inspection.
'94 Cavalier No rust, nice shape, wife's summer vehicle.
'98 Suburban runs and drives, family hauler.
'05 Aveo picked up cheap to "flip" but my wife claimed it. These cars get lousy mileage for the size.
'10 Aveo just put on road Saturday. Another attempt to flip... and she's already been told "No!"
And the car trailer, of course, because you just need one when you own this many junks and have no money or time.
Strangely enough, I now use a company vehicle to travel which means my personal vehicles get even less attention.
