When I swapped the TBI into my '74 truck(T350/NP203), I made a 40 tooth ring for the T-case front output flange. I fed that signal to a DRAC, and then fed the proper output to the '7427 PCM. If you still had a tail housing and stock sensor location this is what you would do.

Later I was able to find an early '90s Suburban/Blazer instrument cluster, added the optical sensor to it, and ran that signal directly to the PCM on pin F13. Then set the flag at $5D02 bit 4,"Output Speed Not From DRAC", this eliminates the need for the DRAC, and sends a 2Kppm signal to the PCM (if your cable is properly calibrated to 1000revs/mile). Notice that pins C11, C14, C15 are all 2Kppm?

This 95 System goes strait to the VSSB. Then it splits off from there to cluster, ecm, crusie, abs.

Jags that run have a method to relocate to tone ring to the case instead of the tail shaft. Here's a link http://www.jagsthatrun.com/Pages/Spe..._Reluctor.html. The 4L60e needs a 40 pulse per revolution signal and 2000 pulses per mile signal. So relocating the vss tone ring to the case and using the vssb for the correct signals would be most reliable.

So does advance adapters. I went with them since that's the brand output shaft I have. Still waiting on it to arrive. Then I get the privilege to pull the tcase again to install it.

Good doesn't sound like much fun. I have a JTR kit in my 77 camaro with 4L60e and TBI conversion. The kit I have puts the speed sensor in the case and a mechanical speedo cable in the tail shaft. Idk about the advanced adapter kit but if it's anything like the JTR unit you'll be happy and so will the PCM.

Looks like its all about the same design. I dont have a tailshaft since its 4x4. So my electrical sensor will be on the trans output shaft, cable speedo to the transfer case. After doing some reading, the pcm would not read correct when put in 4low if I took it from the speedocable.
