    Turbo Fiero $8F

Hi all, My name is Jerry and Im a alcoholic.... sorry wrong post. I just finished the second part of my turbo Fiero swap. I recently installed a turbo on my 3.4pr Fiero with a basic tune done by mail order, the car ran ok but not perfect. Now to part 2, I installed a 4T60 transmission and a 7730 ecm with DIS. Instead of going back to the mail order thing I decided to go with a Moates setup to log, program and burn my own chips with Tunerpro. I was told to start with a 8F bin and it all sounded so easy. Not the case, I'm lost, been reading for days and in desperate need of help.

you're going to have fun working out the calibration for the iron heads/intakes.... but it could certainly be done with 8F.

where are you getting hung up?

Since this turned to tech I'm going to move it to GM EFI Section from introductions.

I'd forget about using $8F, it's so underdefined and what is defined seems to be grossly in error.

I'd start with $58 or $59 LONG before attempting to use $8F.

Another code that I would look at using is $12P, that will run in the '7165. That can use 1, 2 or 3 BAR MAP sensors, and a bunch of other cool features.

What MAP sensor do you have?

Thanks guys for the welcome, and sorry if I started somthing in the wrong section. I received a real nice setup of 8f base tune files from a Fiero forum member but I I'm just lacking knowledge in the tuning department. I have a 2 bar map sensor and running with 10 pounds of boost. Upping injector size to 28#.

Since you have a 2 BAR MAP sensor and a '7730 I'd use $58. It's much more defined and works very well.

There is an edit that needs to be made to the existing XDF to allow for PROPER DIS settings to be entered and work.

I'll see if I can upload the XDF I use with the correct conversions.

Any luck with that edit on the XDF file?

1project2many posted edited xdfs in this thread:

There is also other information in that thread that may be of interest in converting to or using a code mask with DIS.
