    1997 K1500 LT1/wTPI & 411 ECU conversion

    Hi Guy's "N" Gal's the writeup is increadibly long. I needed a 4X4 to get out in the pasture to feed the horses, but didn't want o poney up the money for a late model, I thought of this way back when the LT1 was a newcomer, and decided to give it a try. the write up was befor the TPI -- long story. but the dyno software "gestimate" in the 450 tq and 350 hp range with the TPI.

    I remember finding it, seems like a few years ago when looking for LT1 intake info for adding a distributor.

    Nice writeup...Just FYI I have used stock radiators with LT1 swaps and they work fine. The only "reverse" aspect of the cooling system is the water pump pushes water into the heads first, then block, then through the thermostat.

    Hum that is interisting on my setup the water was pulled in from the LH side (drivers side) of the radiator, I couldnt get it to pull water into the motor??? interisting????
