$12P has some VERY cool features. I plan to use it on a project or two in the future.
I've already driven my car around on $12P, but needed more time to figure out the injector constant.

Six_shooter, if the tuner I went to can't get my car right with these injectors, would u still be interested in tuning my car?
zedrated, its been a long thread and I don't remember if you have a spare ecm to compare data logs from. I have a288 and a 7747 that I play with, I noticed 747 would run good then in a couple days my data log would start to change a lot more than the 288 does, friday the problem showed up tps to low cel coming on but usely I could drive to work and back with out the limp home mode happening, but it just dint run like the 288 which runs good but cannot do as much with. data logging tps sometimes will go to 0 then jump back to normal. 288 smooth as silk, I change the tps back in the summer one ecm works good one don't, if you know someone that has the same ecm you do you might swap them out and see if yours is lazy and not wanting to respond to your bin changes.
No I don't. I put in my stock chip from my 87 tpi 5 speed manual and the car runs better than the AUM bin I was using.
What would be a good base bin to start with for my set up?
zedrated I don't know much about tunning but if I would start with the bin that runs the best and go from there,if you load your bins into tuner pro you can copy the tables that you have been working on back and forth by loading the compare option. got to go working on a water line [no water]
Did you ever get Injector Specs for your new injectors?
Guess what Accell has out now?

That's nice. Right after I change em
Like I said before. John at FIC said to just use the stock ones but maybe I will call him in the spring and ask if he can give me some injector voltage offsets for these injectors.
You should see how far the Accell Offsets are off compared to what people have said to use?
And if John at FIC was tuning a Ford or? He would be right!

I told him my application and year, make and model and he said that the offsets aren't a huge deal.
This is what he told me, I'm not saying that they are or aren't but this is what he said.
He said that with such a slow and old ECM that it isn't a huge deal and just use the stock numbers.
Which is a misconception. The speed of the processor in the ECM has ZERO effect on how the injectors operate.
Even with the slowest of ECMs from GM, it's still faster than it really needs to be to run an engine, and perform all of the necessary calculations.
I'm really starting to wonder how these "pro tuners" stay in business when they ignore some of the most important details of getting an engine running well.

I hear u. I spent $600 and my car ran like crap. I'll call up John again and ask him.
