OD 16196395 Batchfire using CPI mode

OK... from what I understand the 6395 ECM in TBI mode uses bank/batch fire which has two injectors and would alternate between injectors. If this is true, I would like that verified.

My real question is if when I switch to CPI mode, what happens to bank/batch fire as it was only one "pig injector" and would not make since to fire an injector that didnt exist. I working on an issue where a 30 pph injector was too much and pooled fuel on the desk of the intake. I was thinking if I used 2 x 15 pph injector using batch fire, it would be less likely to pool as the 30pph fuel are spread across the firing cylcle by 2 injectors per side and less likely to pool. Just to clarify I thinking of going from 2 x 30 pph injectors to 4 x 15 pph injectors.

    Thanks guys

Well... I took my ECM and connected LEDs to the injector pins and started the engine. Both were flashing as in TBI mode, they flash 2 times per rev, so I used my camera and put it in slow-mo and then checked it out. It shows the pin a9 and a16 (injector) flash alternating. This will allow me to go forward with 2 injectors on each side. See the video: (kinda of boring) http://youtu.be/vL4W8PUIqOg

If you watch carefully, you can see that you revved it at about 13 and 15 seconds, plus a few points later in the video. Both injectors are on, which is the added pulses of AE between the synced pulses.

You could really benefit from an O'scope in times like this. You can really see the waveform and even capture it.

Was pretty cool to see the AE in action ..only seen it in tunerpro screen. My other question will be will it still alternate in CPI mode as my engine wont run in CPI mode for me to see. I guess another question would be.... do I have to run it in CPI mode just because the injectors are after the throttle body, than before.
