Hopefully i can read thru this thread tonight if i get off on time but question, i ordered an otg hub, should be here tomorrow or Friday. Ahh i going to need anything else for this to work or just plug my usb aldl and ostrich into the hub then hub to phone or tablet and go?
I haven't used a hub, but I do have an OTG cable that I used for datalogging purposes.
I haven't tried it with the Ostrich 2.0 yet, but it should work fine with it.

Not sure about the hub either to be honest. Start with ALDL first and get that working and after that, add the hub and see what happen. As long as it still look like a regular USB device to the app (I would assume it will), it shouldn't make any difference.
Ostrich should work great, it work for me and some other guy, and that's the only feedback I got so it's hard to say more. I always suggest to try tweaking a couple tuning things before leaving the driveway to make sure it seems to do the right thing, it should be OK :P

The hub came in, tried it REAL quick before work, said invalid checksum, i bypassed the checksum check and it displayed data, but was real glitchy, flicking on and off, ill play more with it later.

dumb question, is there something I need to do to save a dashboard? Whatever position my phone or tablet is in when i make some gauges, if I rotate the device, it will automatically restore back to the stock gauges and delete what i put on. Also, same thing happens when you close program and open it back up.
So i tried with hub and without hub, lg g3 and tab 4 8.0 and same thing, checksum missmatch and when i ignore the check it shows data but flickers on and off and randomly says no reaponse from ecu
Are you saying it's the same with or without the hub?
I've used ALDLDroid with an LG G3 and $59 without any major issues. It would connect fine.
I don't recall how to save the dash layout, I thought it would just automatically remember the new layout... It's been a while since I used it.

Which xdf file did you use?
And yes, same results with and wo hub
Chris, can you please post your ADX for him ?
Otherwise, Superbee, can you please attach your ADX in a post here, I have a feeling something is wrong and you have one extra byte or one byte missing in the body size of the monitor listen packet.
As for the dashboard, it is automatically saved. You have to know that portrait and landscape orientation have their own separate layout tho. The screen ratio is different so it would look too weird otherwise. You have to setup everything for both orientations. Once you've adjusted everything, it will stick tho so its not too bad.

I went to code59.com and downloaded -code59 .8 Beta TP5 ONLY ADX
I can post link When i get home
Yep looks like that ADX have the issue from when it was converted from ADS to ADX maybe... Kind of weird the official code59 ADX file has that issue.
Here is a page on moates.net that show how to fix the issue. Basically body size need to be 67 instead of 66: http://support.moates.net/tprtv5-ads-to-adx/

Cool! ill try that tonight after i change my oil and stuff..
Did you have to do this, six? or did you find one that was good from the get go?
I'm the one that is attempting to connect to an APU1. Let me first say that I'm new to most of this and trying to learn as I go.
I am tuning and data logging with TunerPro RT with no problems. I am building custom fuel tables for a Cadillac 425 engine using the spreadsheet linked on here. Everything is going well, so far.
I just got a Verizon tablet and bought your app. Spent several days reading the entire thread, I am VERY excited to think I can leave that brick at home. The charger for the tab is also a USB data cable and my tablet is connecting to my PC with it, so I got the bright idea to just get a USB butt connector and plug the cord from the autoprom to the cord from the tablet, but wont it recognize the APU1. I think Monday I will take this adapter back to the "Shack" and see if the other adapter will work for me.
I have also linked it to Dropbox, but do not see how to find nor load my files. When going into settings, it only gives defaults. Maybe I just didnt understand how to add my files?

Again, please forgive my ignorance, and all help is appreciated.
