    ALDLdroid

This is an app for Android that a guy is making. I know him from another forum. The funny thing is, he doesn't even use a Delco ECM, he uses a Mega Squirt, and saw something like this for that system, and decided to make one for the Delco crowd.

It looks pretty good, and he's wanting to implement datalogging both through a wired connection and through BT. I know he bought a BT cable from one of our very own to test the BT connection. He's making a bench test set-up as we speak to test this.

    Anyway, here's the video:

If anyone is selling an Android device, let me know, I need to replace my iPhone. ;) lol

Ian, I've just replied to your email but here is the info for future reference for people that might end up in this thread. You can get this adapter http://www.reddevilriver.com/ALDL_Bluetooth.php. It has been used to develop the Bluetooth portion of the app, and this is what I use all the time when doing anything not related to USB testing because I like not have an extra cable. :) Works really well!

That is the path I tried to use, and is still valid on my old phone. But with the new one it will only go as far as data, there are no files in that folder, where my old phone was full of files. So I'm sure it is the phone. I tried a search, it shows no files, where my last phone would pull them up.
Thanks for your help, I'll try some other resources on the phone itself.

Also, it there a way to lock the dashboard after it has been set up?

Can you please give me the exact error message in red, I don't believe ecu not connected is a message the app is displaying.

    Thank you

    debug

Sorry what it's actually saying at the bottom in red is no response from ECU, at the top left it says connected RPS 0.0 I have the debug log if you'd like to see also. Most of what's in there is this repeated over and over,
ERROR] (ECU) 05/17/22 11:34:49.043 Incorrect response length, expected 71 but got 0: [][DEBUG] (ECU) 05/17/22 11:34:49.043 Sending command "Mode 1 ALDL Dump Request Send" (80 56 01 29) and now listening for packet (71 bytes)
    [DEBUG] (ECU) 05/17/22 11:34:49.044 Pause of 20ms
[DEBUG] (ECU) 05/17/22 11:34:49.603 Got response from ECU: ()
[ERROR] (ECU) 05/17/22 11:34:49.604 Incorrect response length, expected 71 but got 0: []
[DEBUG] (ECU) 05/17/22 11:34:49.607 Sending command "Mode 1 ALDL Dump Request Send" (80 56 01 29) and now listening for packet (71 bytes)

Looks like the app is receiving no data at all... could it be a bad connection at the ALDL connector or something ? The command that is being sent is fine but the data is getting lost between your ECU and the app somehow. Something is different than when you're using TunerPro it seems, not sure if you can pinpoint what exactly
