And another aesthetic update:

I've been told I need to update this thread. lol

Right now he's mostly just playing with appearance and a few other things, until he gets his bench test set-up, well, set-up.
If I had an android device (I'm looking) I would be testing this for him, but unfortunately, I have no money for a device. :(

That's way cool............I wonder if my Win phone will work...
It won't, this is for Android, at least for now... Microsoft is apparently working on a tool to convert an Android app to run on Windows phone: http://www.techtimes.com/articles/49...fts-mobile.htm. I have my doubt about a tool that you just click a button and the app is converted but we'll see at that point if it's worth the effort for me, whenever they release that tool, if they ever release it. In the mean time, Android tablets can be acquired pretty cheap these days (sometime < 50$)

Car mode add works.. mostly
it will work if I run ALDLDroid then navigate away then press the nav bar button.. on a fresh boot it will not work, but I have contacted the developer to see if that functionality is correct or not.. THANKS

Has anyone used ALDLdroid with the Red Devil River Bluetooth ALDL adapter and a '7747 ECM? I can connect and get data, but it goes into diagnostic mode (idle goes up). Is there a way to disable this in the app or in hardware? I've sent a couple of messages to Red Devil through their website, but haven't gotten a response. I'm sorry if this has already been addressed, but It's a big thread.

@fastaction: You can gently pry the case open. Once inside, the wires for the ALDL cable will be soldered to the Arduino Shield. Desolder the wire for the 'B' terminal and heat shrink tubing over the wire.
John knows the competitor product pretty well it seems :)
I did test with the Red Devil River adapter with a '7747 on the bench so I'm not sure about the idle but looks like John got you covered!
