fastacton, blue while idle seems like the adapter is detecting a pin E ECU which is wrong. Here is what the colors mean on the Red Devil River adapter:

Pin D - Idle flashes Green - Connected White with Yellow flashes (now changed to Blue) - Speed 4800 - unidirectional data
Pin E - Idle flashes Blue - Connected Green with Gold flashes - Speed 4800 - unidirectional data
Pin M - Idle flashes Red - Connected Blue with Purple flashes - Speed 9600 - bidirectional data

Possibly the 1320 eletronics would work better in your case, you have to manually select the baud rate instead which is a better idea IMO.

mmarkus, no problem. I do have that in the TODO list, we'll see if I can get to it in a near-ish future :)

3400tz, thanks for the info. I went ahead and ordered the 1320 electronics version earlier today. It'll be nice to get ALDLdroid working again on my Z, I was getting used to having a custom dash and not needing a laptop. I guess I'll just keep the Red devil version only for my '7747 stuff.

If the xdf has a blm history table, will it populate in aldldroid? I can't seem to find one that will come up. It would be a nice feature!

Maybe the scatter graph could be populated with string results instead of pixles?
Btw, those pixels are really small (to me). Can they made bigger?

What would the string say ? The values maybe ? The thing is scatter plot are to be used with data log with a lot of data (like 20+ mins of driving or something) so I think it would be extremely messy. If you select axis that makes sense and have a lot of data in your log, it should be useful as is. And I guess I could make the dot size configurable.

That being said, somebody reported an issue with the Y-axis of scatter plot that I fixed for the next version so there is currently an issue with the version that is out.

I like the scatter graph because i can spot trends with it, but the string comment was based on the assumption that it be restricted to 100cells or so and the string answer is the blm....just like a history table. I'm probably oversimplifying it because i don't understand what's involved with writing and programming code.

I was hoping for a more in depth tutorial.

It's a pretty simple app once you start playing with it. It probably does help if you have previous experience with Tunerpro or something similar.

I have been playing with it and figured most of what I whant to now out, I pretty much want to use it for data logging, but was wondering if you could use it to clear codes or just any other features it may have.

Some of that may depend on what ECM and definition file you're using it with. There may be an ECM that allows you to clear codes, but most of the OBD1 GM stuff requires power to be disconnected.

I can clear the codes through the onboard obd1 system but was curious if I could do it directly from aldldroid.

Just have to add it to the ADX file (if it's not already there). Whatever can be done by the ECU, you should be able to do it with the app as any command is just sending bytes over the serial line :)
