    Hacker Upgrade!

Well we got hacked today! Not sure what the purpose is?

Restored website and forums with server backups. Updated vB forum Software. Updated the home page software! This is where the security flaw was and I had been behind on updates.

Let me know if you find any issues with the new updates?

is it possible they had database access?

if so, everyone might want to reset their passwords; and-or change passwords on other sites or emails or whatever that use duplicate passwords.....

No! That's a hard nut to crack and if there were ever an issue I'd let everyone know.

Problem was vBAdvanced I use for the home page had security issues announced... well a long time ago and I put it off and forgot. All they got into was home page. But went through the site upgrades including forum since someone changed my plans for today...

    That explains things ...

I got some weird pop-up about running scripts on this website earlier today (never usually get any pop-ups).

I have forgot what I know and didn't learn to use what I had ,[2002-2003 Norton system works] its getting close to the end of the week, if someone knows what I am talking about that system works , you can lock your attacker for 60 minutes as long as they stay on line Norton will track the ip address, then you can go visit them if that is what you wish, eagle mark look into this one of the members has probly got this in an older xp pc.

Seems like everyone was finding the hacked home page about the same time? I was taking a leak and my phone rings... so I'll get it later... then I get my coffee and toast and head to shop and PC and phone rings? Sit down and look at phone and 2 out of area code numbers... and phone rings... open website and see hacked page... phone rings!

Total of 6 phone calls within first hour of hack...

I never see the home page, so I miss out on this fun.
