    TRADE: Pro Topline Vortec Heads

At this point this is mostly a feeler thread, but I came up on a set of Pro Topline 350C (cast # 2236494906) cylinder heads that look to be in good condition. Now before I proceed with this proposed trade I will have them cleaned up and checked out by a machine shop. Now on to what I want, I have a K2500 suburban that I am trying to get just a little more out of, and since I am in California I don't want to attempt the Vortec swap. Since this truck has the 76cc (I think thats right) combustion chambers I would like to trade my Topline heads for a set of clean/rebuilt 64cc 350 TBI heads.

So is there anyone out there that's interested??

    Thanks
    Rob

ALL 350 TBI heads are in the 64-66cc range. The difference between the 8600+ GVW trucks is an 18cc dished piston vs a 12cc dished piston.

If you go with TPI heads, you will have the same compression ratio and less torque than the swirl ports. About the only thing that can be done is mill/angle mill the heads and intake and us a .016" compressed steel shim headgasket or change the pistons.

I've got some freshly rebuilt TBI 350 heads just from the machine shop. I'm interested in this trade for those Pro Topline heads. I don't know anything about Pro Topline, so I'll need to do my research. Let me know what your machine shop says about them.

I'll get a picture of my heads and send them to you. Will you be checking your Private Messages or do you prefer email?
