    VE2 table question

Quick tutorial, add VE2 to VE1, 0 out VE2, Smooth VE1 table!!! Warm up engine, drive vehicle, stop, disconnect power to ECM, start engine, closed loop, start data log, 3 to 5 minute drive, use non avarage on Daves spreadsheet. Smooth table from adjustments up and down, not adjusted cells... rinse and repeat...

Does the VE2 table get repopulated upon resetting the ECM, or does it stay zeroed out from then on?

    Thanks,Chris.

Either way? If the motor revs high and you have a Wide Band O2 sesnor the you can put back say 25 in VE2, that you took out a VE1. Then as RPM go up like 3600-4000 you will need less fuel so can scale down VE2.

Watch VE2 first couple cells, depending on cam, you may not be able to get 25 in, so you can scale low end to.

Okay, so help me out here. I just want to make sure I'm not going in the wrong direction. With the truck at idle in drive the Blm count stays steady in the 800 rpm 60 MAP cell. I've been using the spread sheet to recalculate that cell and the eight that surround it and have gone from 35.94 to 28.13 for a VE value. The BLM is still solid 108, do I need to just keep going down or is this the wrong direction? Am I missing something?

    Your going the right way!

But 800 RPM and still 60 MAP is a huge cam? Have you added any timing to this area of idle yet?

Seems your aware of the interpolation of cells by adjust 8 around it. Smoothing other areas helps to, have you read this yet?

Not really that big. 216 223 lsa 113. I just went to 21.88 in all nine cells and BLM is still locked at 108. I'm going to rent a fuel pressure kit from auto zone tonight to make sure I don't have mechanical problem. Fitting still hasent come in for my gauge.
I haven't even thought of touching the timing table yet, just been trying to get fuel a little closer. Watching the data dash I only have around twelve degrees at idle. Maybe I'll aid some timing in before I go any further with the fuel.

Disconnect power to the ECM, to hard reset the BLM, sometimes I find that just key off doesn't always reset the BLM learn.

Thanks six. Was wondering if that was required or not. Is there a minimum time I should wait or just unplug and plug?

    It's quick but I wait 30 seconds.

Then next log if your still rich, when it goes CL the BLM will start to drop following the INT.
