    weather pack dissasembly tool

    does anyone happed to have the dissasembly tool and a pair of calipers handy to measure the diameter of the hole in the end?
    i'm going to turn one on my lathe and couldn't find the diameter of the hole anywhere on line.

    The one I have measures .120 ID, and .130 OD.

    thanks, thats what i was looking for.
    i'll just have to make sure my land rover doesnt find out i got these measurments from a jeep.
    its cheaper to buy but making my own gives me an excuse to use my lathe.
    i'll use 1018 for the shaft and aluminum for the handle, i ussually make a few extra when i make parts.

    Made one from some brass last night. Now that I know it works I'll make a few more out of steel

    Steel or better yet, stainless. The more resistance to bending, the better. Sometimes the tab gets stuck and you'll apply quite a bit of force without realizing it.

    i have plenty of 1/4" 1018 and a few feet of 1/4" 4140, i considered stainless but i don't have any on hand that would be suitable
