Hey guys sorry for the delay. It's the stock eprom from the 7747 computer. The numbers silkscreened on the ceramic seem to be meaningless as they don't give any clear chip or manufacturer info.

As RobertISaar said, with eproms you can usually "write down", as in, a numerically lower value without eracing (provided you can write at all). This is the issue I was having.

I'm using a 10+ yearold ripoff willems programmer that i've used plenty of times before, however never on 27c32. But if they are 25v I was certainly too low. It can go to 17v, as i've used that before, but yesterday it was being driven at 12v. I don't even know if the switching regulator on the board here can handle that.

Also Six_Shooter mentoned the stock software will warn about this. This is a good gotcha as I have been using a third party program and it didn't give me any warning (which subsequently caused this stir).


But hey, turns out I dont need to reburn this after all LOL! Still, it is good info for next time.
