    1994 Caprice LT1

With any luck my new daily driver will be a lowered 1994 Caprice Wagon 90k miles on 20 inch wheels, dark tint windows, duel exhaust, flowmaster mufflers and Borla tips!!

Reading the Moates website I'm still confused if my AutoProm will be able to record data and reflash with TunerPro? If so is it real time or just record, adjust and reflash?

Any idea on the PCM number?

I believe the only way to do real time tuning with the LT1 computer is by using the Road Runner and Tuner Cats.

Road Runner is a good thing but should be run by TunerPro...

The 94 and 95 LT1 pcm's can be flashed through your ALDL cable using Winflash from TC. This is the only way I know of doing it.
I'm running a 94 f-body LT1 in my 89 wagoneer with a 93 PCM setup. The 93 is the last year of the older style PCM that works with the moates G3. They are somewhat rare and I have not had much luck finding a spare.

I picked up a whole 95 LT1 with a partial wiring harness and PCM for free from a guy on CL that just wanted someone to get it out of his garage. I am planning to rebuild the wiring harness with only the stuff necessary for my install so I can run the newer PCM since the newer ones are much easier to come by.

Are we not allowed to edit our own posts or am I missing the button somewhere?

I just wanted to give you another heads up. On the LT1 try to get in there and look for signs of excessive moisture under the water pump and above the optispark dist. You will have the vented version which is much better but still over time the seals fail and is sucks to be driving down the road and have the ignition totally fail.

Edit is allowed for 2 minutes. If you guys don;t like that just let me know.

I have read about the moisture issue with optispark. Don't know how to tell which is old or new style?

Looks like I won't be getting this as the guy had several calls and now wants to raise his price...

    "I'm asking this......"
    Gets several inquries/offers
"Oh, I want to raise the price, because there's more interest than I thought there would be."

93 and early 94 Fbodies (maybe vettes too I can't remember) got the non-vented opti. Anything else 94-up got the vented version.

    Re: 1994 Caprice LT1

I was hoping he would come by with it. Then I would offer him another $100. less for being an asshole!

If he took it I would say "wow your desperate, I'll bet I could get it for less!"

    Re: 1994 Caprice LT1

I sometimes might be a smart A$$ when it comes to money. The last time I was in an LT1 engine transaction, I less than politely informed the seller if the LT1 was such a good GM product, then why is there an LS1?

So poor peple like me can own something cool!

Well the Chevy fell through but I got a 1994 Buick Roadmaster Wagon White with Wood Trim, Vista Cruiser roof window and leather interior. On and a Lt1.

Had the tranny checked and was perfect so I had it serviced with synthetic.

Lays five feet of rubber from a stop!

Plus I found a tutorial on tuning an LT1 with TP somehow!
    http://ltxtech.com/forums/showthread.ph ... 5-Tutorial

Got an estimate on duel flowmasters! But first I have to change the compressor as it's making noise with A/C on... Got to have A/C!
