Never checked fuel pressure, Its got a brand new OEM pump, regulator, and filter...I figured for an otherwise stock truck it should be good to go.

You figured that did you? Checking fuel pressure is one of the first diagnostic checks done to EFI systems, along with data log or your figuring is just guessing...

i find it funny that tbichips has sent 2 supposedly identical chips, with 2 totally different problems, neither of which are usable..

It's not funny and happens all the time... then his customers end up here or other websites trying to find out what's wrong with their vehicles... once they hire a qualified tuner their vehicle is diagnosed so repairs can be made and if no mechanical issues arise they get a tune that actually runs good!
