Here is a 2006, 4.3, M/T, DBC calibration. I take NO credit for this one. A friend of mine gave me this one. It is a Drive by Cable but you should be able to segment swap the trans calibration and diagnostics into your calibration.

Thanks Lextech, I may give that a try. I did also find a 4.8L MT file that looks good and I tried it last night. I swapped in a 5.3 engine module but after doing that it was in some sort of limp mode or something. Would only rev to about 1500 rpm etc. I did some analysis and as it turns out, the module that I swapped in was a Flex Fuel version (very different injector tables etc.). So I'm thinking it is the Flex Fuel settings that are messing me up. And I can't imagine just flipping the main switch will help much since there are many other differences.

Does anyone have a 2006 5.3 NON-FLEX with operating system 12582811 ? If so, I would really appreciate it if you could post it up.

Maybe going back to the other OP and using the MT module from Lextech's 4.3 file will do the trick as well. Any thoughts on the best way to proceed on this one?

    Thanks!
    Todd

Jeff - that file should be what he needs. All V6 truck of that era were DBC. The "Hex Edit" in the file name causes some concern though !

Ya, I know what you mean. But, that is the way I got it. And since he is flashing it himself, it should be easy enough to "Guinea Pig" it to see if it works. I do trust the maker of that calibration VERY much with this stuff.

I'm going to give it a try today. Do you think it being DBC will mess me up when I'm only moving the trans module over?

And by the way, I do appreciate all the help :)

And still wouldn't mind trying a non-flex, DBW, 5.3 engine module (OS 12582811) in my 4.8L MT file if anyone runs across one of those. in m

Thanks! That was very helpful. I was able to find some LM7 files with the same OS as my LR4 MT file and then also found a 2006 L33 file (different OS) and was able to compare to an LM7 and then export/import the tables that were different.

Now I just need to figure out the injectors (from LS1/LS6) and I should be really close to stock (LS1 intake manifold, LS3 exhaust manifolds & custom CAI). Then we'll log some data and see where we are at.

If all goes well, I should have a good 2006 L33 MT file for anyone else that might need it. I posted a pic of our project. It is my son's '85 RX7.

Anyway, thanks again for all of the help.

really old thread... but thought I would post that I have a 2006 Chevy 2500 HD with a 6.0 and NV4500 manual trans. The OS is 12587811 and I have the xdf for it if needed.

    I can't upload files, so here's a shared file link https://drive.google.com/file/d/1zq1...ew?usp=sharing

Maybe someone can download it and upload it back?

What I don't see in the xdf is the VATS, maybe it's called something else?

Looks like it's called VTD in this version of the OS / XDF . I'm going to try changing the parameters and writing the PCM.
