BIN file in TunerPro5 - what does it do?

Does the incorrect selection of the BIN before recording affect the log output?

Lets say you select the incorrect BIN for what is really in the ECU. Then you datalog a run. Then you go to play it back, but all the data is jumpy (like BLM 255 to 131; INT going crazy; Port Throttle YES/NO constantly; etc), basically not normal. Is this behavior being caused by the incorrect BIN selected prior to the run?

BIN has absolutely no effect on datalogs.

sounds like you have the incorrect ADX or it needs tweaked.

it will need the same treatment that 8D corvettes get to make everything shut up.

depends. i'm not sure if it was the CCM or ECM, but one of them tends to hog up the ALDL circuit, needs to be shut up so that datalogging packets can be sent out.

i want to say this was solved recently too(for 8D, or maybe it was DA2?), i just can't find the thread ATM.

Is it the "Connect" command macro? I overwrote the command macros into my adx. all I get is: "DA Connecting ...", never connects.

Original A142.adx didnt have a "Connect" macro. Lame excuse, but this car doesnt have an LT1, but an LT5? I noticed the "_LT1" macros ...

Tunerpro wont connect with macro in the $8D file. The original A142adx did connect, but sporadically, and it didnt have a "Connect" macro.

Is the connect macro in the $8D only for LT1 corvettes?

    8D is actually only for the L98 engine cars(90-91). LT1 are DA2(92-93) and EE(94-95).

Will one of those contain a connect macro that will work with a '91 ZR1?

the 8D one should, since both use the same CCM and nearly identical ECMs.

Tried it, doesnt work. I still see "DA Connected" in blue, then a half second later, "Data Error", back and forth continuously. Has someone actually used TP5 to data log a C4 ZR1? If so, do you have an ADX i could try?? Please?
