    Is my computer shot?

So I tried getting info from my cars computer, using Roberts definition file, auto tuner and a self made cable. Getting all sorts of crazy data?!:
    Any input from the experts?

the self-made cable may be a problem(depending on design). have you verified that it works with other applications, preferably one that's "simpler"?

No, only tried this on the 95 Monte. I used the info here regarding the easy aldl and purchased parts from a local electronic shop, cause I can't wait another 2 weeks to get this car to run. Here is what I purchased:

I'm losing hair cause of this dang car not running.

the pic doesn't do much justice... does it use a FT232R chip on it?

Gonna have to check. In the meantime while looking for a possible ecu replacement, I noticed that there is a BLZX behind the ecu number, which is 16196397. Do I have to look for that BLZX? Cause a seller offering a 95 Monte carlo ecu has a different 4 letter code.

BLZX is a fairly late calibration for the 94-95 3100 W-bodies. i wouldn't use one any earlier than that.

if you can, grab both the 4 letter code and the calibration part number.

you could punch your VIN into here to see a list of all of the applicable calibration part numbers. i used mine and came up with the following info.

    http://tis2web.service.gm.com/tis2web

BLZX is 16208574. it's the second to last calibration released, with either 16218424 or 16233204 superceeding it(kind of odd that there was a branch, but still). the sticker on mine indicates it as being a BLZX.

if you plan on running a custom calibration, none of this really matters so long as you get the right PCM.

the CP2102 don't always work with 8192 baud... some have gotten them to work:

but it's an overly complex process compared to just using a FT232R and having it work out of the box.

Great Info Robert. Downloaded everything followed instructions, but won't get any further than to the AN205SW setup. Got a blank box, nothing to click or adjust to 8228.

this is why i don't use anything other than FT232R units, these kinds of problems pop up and they're not always fixable.

What's the car doing? Some old school trouble shooting might be a quicker and easier way to solve the issue.

Old school doesn't get me anyway. The car was bought with a broken engine, connecting rod failure. I pulled the old engine and replaced it with a new GM crate engine, same engine V6 3100. Cleaned and double checked everything. Started the car, it runs for a minute, then floods the intake with gas, coming from the egr pulled from the exhaust. Replaced, IAC, TPS, electronic ignition module. new plugs, checked spark plug wires for resistance. Changed map. Pulled the wires from O2 sensor, nothing whatever I do, car stalls after a minute, flooded. And the fun part, I don't even get a check engine light on the dash.

"floods intake with gas, coming from egr pulled from the exhaust"?? Can you explain this a little more?

bad fuel pressure regulators are fairly common, and this will flood the intake with gas.

the gas enters in the front of the intake, by the throttle blade, where the egr is connected to. the design of this engine has the fuel injectors below the upper intake. the intake itself is two pieces, unbolt the top to get to the injectors. fuel pressure regulator can be ruled out, it works.
