OK...I have purchased a 87 r/10 TBI with 3.08 gears and 400 tranny. Great truck but suffers in the MPG area and I have been reading about there being some area for improvement. I was looking around but haven't been able to find a hack for my set-up that has the enable highway lean patch. Any ideas or directions to point me in would be awesome?

Do some data logs and make sure the truck is in good mechanical order and the tune is in good order before even thinking about doing a Lean Cruise.

Understood....last thing I want to do is cook my motor. Outside of the Lean Cruise option...I know it's not ever going to win a green award but I want to get all I can out of it. Right now I am averaging 12 MPG with a 1/2 and 1/2 of highway and city driving. I would like to take that average to 17. Is that an unreasonable goal?
