I have read about drilling and tapping the fuel pump block off plate on the small block chevy for a knock sensor. Would this be ok or should it be on the side of the block? Thanks

I run mine in the coolant drain and have for years on my SBC's , they say you can drill and tap the F/P plate but I have never had the urge to mount it there myself.
