dumb newb question that's been covered a trillion times - how to 'choose' XDF file?

say I take a fresh ASDU bin file. What XDF file should I start with? I'm using _42-1227747-V4_3.xdf

Is there a 'better' one to use?

Im going to assume the "better" one would be the latest and greatest. You have the latest and greatest from this thread, right?

    Yup!

As I or someone else works on them they end up in the info threads.

If your not sure which XDF or ADX to use with another vehicle you can use the TunerPRo Lookup in this thread:

So what if you take an ASDU bin, then edit it in a lower XDF version, then edit it in a newer version? Does that cause any problems?
