    New motor start-up questions

I'm a newbie to the tuning, downloaded the Tuner-pro, ordered the Moates APU, and I'm looking for some advise on which ECM program to use. The specs on the project are:

    1991 V2500 suburban 4wd, formerly 350, still has 4l80e with transgo hd-2 kit, and 4.10 gears.

1990 462 CI. BBC, Vortec heads, 9.1:1 compression, 54mm TBI, 80lb matched inj., vacuum ref. AFPR, Edelbrock intake with EGR delete, Lunati cam, 495/515 lift, 250/256 advertised duration/ 112 LSA, full length hedman thermal coated headers, going into a 3" single.

    My questions:

Should I use the ECM from the 1991 with 350/4l80 that is still in vehicle, or the ECM from the 454 truck with 454/th400?

What would be a good starting chip(?) for this combo to get the motor up and running for break-in/tuning?

If I use the ECM in the truck, will I need to repin the computer for the new motor?

I've been reading alot of the FAQ's on here and its still confusing to me.

    Thanks for any help.

If you want the 4L80E trans to work you'd have to use the PCM that came with it in the truck. What is the PCM number? I'm guessing this one...

This would be a good thread to understand what happened to that PCM.
