Well the cel doesn't work at all, don't know if bad bulb or ??? It doesn't come on when you first turn the key on. It's been like that for most of the time I've owned the truck...

I will check the fuel pressure and check for vacuum leaks next time I get a chance... Get PE and DFCO turned on too.

    Thanks

    I have an idea!

Fix it! It's just a power wire to a light bulb and the ECM grounds it. Man that would drive me nuts not knowing if things were working right or if something went wrong?

Yep, that's one of those things I have to see, so much info can be found from just a blinking light. ;)

Well, I didnt fix the ses light yet

but I did test/replace/fix everything I could think of that would make it read lean like it was. I took the throttle body off and resealed it and the adaptor plate, as Ive read that this is a common place for vacuum leaks... Replaced cap, rotor, plugs and wires, and the o2 sensor. Tightened all the exhaust manifold bolts and replaced a few of the gaskets.

seems much better, not reading lean at all. its fairly close at cruising speeds, at idle though its very rich.

datalog attached. Thanks for the help! and the ses light is still on the list! I will fix it too.

Looks like you found the issue because the BLM history looks good all over except for idle... which is rich!

    No error codes showing!

So no special tricks, just taking fuel out from the corresponding spot in the table?

some places you may need to add fuel, when you data log get to operating temp, shut down at llease 1 time then data log it gives you a better starting point, the ecm has time to think about what it wants after a restart.

Well I got fueling at idle pretty close now. The latest thing I've noticed is fast idle at cold start. It was 34 degrees the other morning, and when I started it up it went right to 650 rpm, kind of sputtering until it started to warm up. I'm used to seeing a fast idle of 800-900 rpm for a while and dropping as the engine warms up. .. How can I make it do that?
    thanks

Have a little problem lately... It idles perfect in drive, but in park and neutral it idles high (8-900). It's always done this a little, but its gotten worse recently, to the point that after driving a while it will want to idle at 1000...

hooked up to read the data and it seems the iac never goes below about 40 steps, and is often at or near wide open (145 steps) for no apparent reason. Is this a faulty iac? Or is there another problem? Thanks!

What temperature is this happening at?

Because it will do all of that while warming up and the only time your close to desired Idle is fully warmed up in gear. Not park neutral.

Maybe its normal then... It's mainly when its cold... Seems to be not as bad once warmed up. It's just kind of maddening to stop for coffee on the way to work and have it sitting there revved up to 1000 rpm for no reason...

is there any way to make it idle a little lower? 800ish maybe?
