I believe this is an extension of work done by montecarslow? on thirdgen.
somewhat.... instead of having 4K of NVSRAM mapped from 2000-2FFF, they replace their entire PROM with it... and program it over the ALDL circuit using customized ALDL commands... i believe they made modes 11/12/13, something like that.
much like OBD2, they also only have the calibration changed when uploading the new tune so that they don't have the possibility of corrupting the algorithm.
