    Reccomendations for 93 Z/28 tuning

I am just now going to jump in to the tuning thing and would like to know what I will need as far as hardware to do it.
I am on a strict budget but need to be able to reprogram my prom in my car at first to be able to go from a 700R4 to a T56, I also want to delete the VATS system in it too so any ideas on what I can get for a low price would be a big help.
Please let me know and thank you to you all.

If that is all you need to do, with a strict budget, you would be better off buying a adjusted chip. But if you have the time and desire here's what you'll need.

    Moates!

Cable to hook to car and laptop for data logging. Chip adapter and a couple chips with a burner like the Burn II. Or one unit called an AutoProm.

    TunerPro RT
    http://www.tunerpro.net/
for data logging and bin/chip editor. ADX and XDF files for your car. I put some new files in this thread.

All together not that expensive but not a strict budget either. But they always come in handy and can use on other OBDI GM and other vehilces.

Here's a tutorial to get you started with TunerPro RT.

Thank you and I already went to the thread and copied the info there in to a file for future use, I do have plans for the car later on so I will probably go the chip burner ect route.
Very good info in the thread by the way :)

You'll need O2 wideband for any serious WOT work. PLX sells a compact unit that I've had great success with: http://www.plxdevices.com/product_in...id=SEMOSMAFRV2

    Great info guys and thanks.
I will also update my files with the newly posted info too.
I sure am glad I found this place and I belong to another forum that is focused on the LTX platform so I will be letting them (LTXTECH.com) know about Gearhead too because from what I have seen in just a few days of being here I like how helpful and nice the people are here so the word needs to spread.

We're happy and enjoy what we do here. Only unwritten rule is no bad attitudes and it's never been broken!

Lots of good tech over there at LTXTECH, hope we can get some and share some! Getting, sharing, learning and teaching is really the goal here!

Pretty much the same over there too and thats why I like it, I have been to "other" places and have heard some really nasty comments like "just put an LS1 in it and stop wasting time on that LT1" ect ect instead of helping me out so I dont want or need an attitude from some dummy behind a keyboard so I go where its cool like here and LTX.
