I missed your post ony... sorry.

I've always used 3.16 for saprk advance in that table because I thought it was all Decel and could never see the actually add in, so I think your bin file is OK.

Leaner AFR takes more spark advance so it would be normal to get more knock in Closed Loop/14.7 to 1 AFR then Open Loop/leaner AFR.

that file works good, i been playing with it a little going to wait till out side temp gets back up in the 70-80s then play with the timming. i aplied the lean cruise patch to a 288 bin tuner pro showed it took but i cannot ajust the parimators to get it to go lean cruise. had to quit playing with the 288 gas funds for playing drying up.

Here is ASDU with hiway cruise (ASDU2) and ASDU with hiway cruise and ESC done patch (ASDU3). Now if I could just find an appropriate 305 bin. Mark, feel free to add these to the $42 pages.

    Thanks Jim I will!

I've been looking for you to, no luck... one guy on Thirdgen said he had one about 3 years ago and I sent him a PM, but no response.

I am not sure, RBob might have one, but I haven't heard from him so maybe not. I found an AMUB prom on EBAY,don't really want to spend $32 on something I probably wouldn't use. guess I will start hanging at at the JY looking again when the weather turns nice.

I have a ADTF prom setting here. It comes back from bcc find as a 305 auto bin. Is that what you are looking for?

Almost, that comes back as a 5.0L auto but its a TH350 bin, The ADTC bin comes back 5.0L with 4 sp auto, but 2 wd. If I had a better grasp of how each option changed tables and constants, I might use one of them. I think though that I will wait until I find the correct bin to do this, as it is a fair amount of work.

Jim, question on last hex on chip.
    0FFF $96
LEND FCB $96 ; Second half of this instruction is on next chip

What happens when this is $00 ?

I've found this a few times on earlier BB bins IIRC, but did not expect it when comparing ASDU to ASDZ..

Blast it, is just erased my post before I saved it, here goes again, maybe a little more coherent. If the bin has a $96 at $0FFF, then the second half of the instruction is on the next chip at $1000. If the bin has $00 at $0FFF, the the entire next instruction is on the next chip. I would be very careful about setting $0FFF to $00 in a bin unless I knew for sure that $1000 had the entire instruction.

Nice work on the disassembly! I hope I'm not intruding but I'm one of those folks interested in the code as well as the tuning.

I do robotics and embedded programming as a hobby. I did a tiny bit of 6502 and 6510 programming (C<64 and Apple //e :)). I've done a little bit of assembly in VAX-11, x86, AVR, and PIC. Hoping you can help...

    So... the 7747 is a 6809 derivative? Or 6811? Or 68HC11?

I've looked through ASDU1/2/3 assembly files, looked at instruction set and addressing info. When I see, for example, LDAB L0049, it seems L0049 is a label. That is, one could replace with LDAB $0049 (direct addressing mode in this case).

But when I look for L0049 near the top of the asm file, according to the comments, it is part of the 600 rpm row of the Spark Advance 2d array (table), but the comment for LDAB L0049 says "TPS"...

Same for LDAB L0034 ; MPH/1 but L0034 is commented as "LINES/BLOCK" and various other similar examples.

What am I missing? It must be something obvious and I probably look completely stupid right now.

    Thanks,
    Michael

it's because when the hack was done, the offset wasn't accounted for. the PROM(4KB) starts at D000 and ends at DFFF, the onboard ROM(8KB) starts at E000, ends at FFFF.

    Shimniok.

glad to have someone else with asm experience. What you are missing is addressing mode. If you look at the motorola pink book for the 68hc11, you will find that LDAB has a lot of different addressing modes. In order to match the bin file exactly, I have to make certain that the address mode used matches the bin. Changing from LDAB L0049 to LDAB $0049 changes the opcode, and causes a mismatch in the bin. I created the asm by modifying a HAC source using the Bin file and Hex compare. It's tedious, but when I am done it is an exact match. I am modifying a 305 bin right now, but don't have much time to work on it. The comments in these Hacs aren't necessarily correct, which you will notice it you have read through the threads.

Quick question -- what disassembler are you using?

I think the issue has to do with the offset RobertISaar mentioned but I get your point too. I was already aware of the addressing modes. I've been fiddling with the output of disasm11 and think I 'get it' now.
