    Noob offset question

    Hello.

I'm having a problem reading the original chip. I keeps saying check sum incorrect. I click ignore and then it reads. But, when I make adjustments to the code and reburn, it isn't right.

I have a BDJR 16168625 out of a '94 GMC w 4L80E ($0E mask). What would the original chip be and what of the offset?

I'm using: Willem True burner, software that came with the burner (Read and Burn chip), TunerPro RT (make adjustments and tune the code), memcal adapter (read/burn) and Moate's Header (H1) so soldering chip isnt neccessary.

If anyone could tell me what the original chip is and the offset so I can get a good read/burn would be MUCH appreciated!

    Thanks!

Never heard of that chip burner or software. I use tunerproRT and a moates autoprom. But on it, when I real a 64kb bin from a memcal (likes yours) the offset I use is start 000000 finish is 00FFFF
    Maybe that will help?

That's what I use in TunerPro with Moates AutoProm to read a 64K chip. In my Willem GQ-4x you pick the chip and offsets are all 0. 27C512 chip with 64K bin file.

But these chips are EPROM need a UV light to erase, not like EEPROM which can erase in burner...
