vss 1227747 2k to 8k hack possible?

I have 2 Jeeps, both are now GM TBI.
One is a 7427 the other is 7747.

They both have an 8k VSS for the cruise control from the factory.
My 7427 has a JTR 2k VSS, and it works fine.

I know I can buy another(obviously), but was wondering if one could hack the .bin to change the code from 2k to 8k?
Another option is to get/modify a DRAC/VSSB from a Chevy.

I searched online the old efi archives and such, but didn't locate anything specific for VSS input.
Since there are people on here much smarter than myself, figured I'd ask here.
I do have limited knowledge/understanding of binary editors etc.
Just don't know what and where to change or if it's @ all possible.

well, you have two options really.... either modify the code to accept the higher pulse rate or use some hardware to cut the number of pulses to 1/4.

with a 7427, either option is pretty feasible. with a C3 ECM, the hardware route would by far be easier.
