    hey from columbus ohio

    my name is justin, im only 18 but im pretty smart at ths, ive done engine swaps, rebuild, efi convertion, stand alone harnesses. currenty im in the middle of a 95 roadmaster lt1 efi in th my 71 nova. i did the harness mod. it fired up first try but then dies within 3 seconds, im thinking vats

    Can i ground the fuel enable (green wire from ecm) to delete vats?

    It's nice to see Hot Rodding still alive with todays youth!

    That is the exact symtom of a LT1 engine transplant without the ignition switch that reads the resister pellet in key and matches ohms in VATS module, both never make it to transplant car. If VATS fails in origainal car it will also not crank over because the VATS module also allows starter realy power to engage. There are some VATS bypass available to wire in but the correct way would be turn off VATS in PCM. Do you have a cable yet? Laptop? Winflash? TunerPro RT? You'll need all these to start changing the PCM bin/tune.
