    fuel gauge

Is there a way to check the fuel gauge in a 2008 c1500? It reads about half all the time.

i'd check your fuel sender first. if you trace the wires from the fuel sender, check resistance. then drive till you've burned a substantial amount of fuel. check again. resistance should have changed by a non-trivial amount. if not your fuel sender has failed.

Should be about 250 ohms empty, 40 ohms full.
