    Hello from the Gold Country

Well, I had been digging my personal electronics laboratory out of mothballs for other reasons, but recent issues with my 1995 G30 van have led me to tool up for serious ALDL work, diagnostic at this point but I have some future project ideas that will require tuning.

I ordered an ALDI cable to run TunerPro RT on a laptop and decided a clone TECH2 was worth owning to talk to ABS and other stuff, that should get me going. I have a solid background in analog and digital electronics, worked in pro sound, computers and data communications 1974-2001. Since then it's been mostly welding, fabrication, machining and heavy equipment repair. Looking forward to diving into the internals of ECMs.

    Cheers, Erik

that G30 should be a*7427 8192 baud, right?

    Thanks Steveo,
I can't verify the 7427 as I m in the field but I do have a spare 7427 pulled from a junkyard with BCC BNKM, It appears that $0E from the 16196395 is ok for my 4L80E / 5,7 running a 7427.

As for tools, am I correct in thinking Tunerpro can only display and log the live ALDL datastream and that I need to use Flashhack to grab the BIN and possibly read the eeprom ? What can the Tech2 do ?

    Many thanks, Erik
