im new here and new to tuning and ready to learn as much as i can. i have a 2004 gmc yukon denali that came with an lq4 6.0ls engine and it ended up blowing up so i had an opportunity to buy a 5.3 same year for a steal so i bought it and dropped it in and got all the mechanical work done but i cant seem to get it to start its a crank no start condition but i thought it would work because they are basically the same or so i thought but ive asked around and found out that the cam position sensor is 180 degrees out from the one on the 6.0 and the injector pulses are different i thought it would still run just run poorly but i cant seem to get it to start any input would be greatly appreciated thanks

The injectors might be different, check the part number printed on them. I have never heard of the cam position sensor being different on any gen 3 engine. I assume you're running the original PCM for your truck. Any chance you could get the PCM out of the donor truck?
