How to look at Bin to determine the OS

New to tuning and would like to know how to look at a bin to determine the OS.
What software tool is required to do this other than loading the Bin onto my ecm to read it thru pcm Hammer.

Perhaps Universal Patcher is an option?

Efi live aloud you to look at bin files but if you change anything in the file it saves it in a different file format. choose your bin file, right click open with, search for efi live.exe , and use it to open the bin file.
