need pinout help with 95 3.4 V6 ECM

I am installing a 3.4 V6 out of a 95 Firebird into a Geo Tracker. I am converting the original transmission to 4WD duty. What I would like to do is install a switch I can use when in 4WD low, similar to the performance mode switch in cars of that era, that changes the shift points of the transmission so it doesnt just stay in low gear the whole time. I am using tunercat to tune it, when I look at the available shift tables in the tune I do see options. I see shift tables for Normal mode, Traction control mode, Hot mode, and cruise mode. Does anyone know if there is a wire in the pinout I can install that I can use to activate one of these modes? There is no performance mode listed, and no wire for it in the pinout, but there are lots of empty holes. It is a flash tune PCM that uses 3 connectors, clear, blue, and black. It is listed as service number 16184737 BNPM. Thanks, Roy

Thanks, That was a great link with lots of info, I bookmarked it. But I am not sure if it provided me with an answer. The only possibility I found was that in one application B10 was labeled as Cruise Inhibit, and C8 was labeled as Cruise status. Can I use either one of these to force the PCM to use the Cruise shift table?

I’m not able to answer the shift question.

Possibly the TunerPro definition file available on the link might have parameters not available with TunerCats?

I have on a few occasions used both TunerPro and TunerCats for a custom.bin file.

    TunerPro is freeware.

Thanks for the info, I have both tunercat and tunerpro on my laptop. What I really need is to figure out if there is a pin I can use on this PCM that is similar to the one you use to change the shift table that it is using, similar to the tow/haul on many trucks.

i would bet that cruise status is an input that tells the ecm when cruise is active.
is there a "cruise control active" bit in your data stream, if so you could try grounding that pin to see if it toggles cruise

Steveo, I dont have this up and running yet to have looked at a Data stream, but what you were thinking is just what I was as well. I am going to install a pin and wire in that slot, and after I get it working try it to see if it forces it into using the cruise shift table.

i hope it works, would be ideal; the ecm accepts 'we are in cruise control' and can only 'suggest that cruise control should be disabled' so essentially you'd have a dual map switch for anything that has a seperate table for ''while using cruise control'
