New build coming need to learn the $6E mask

I am going to be building a stout 408 SBC, roller cam, 190cc aluminum heads, Holley Stealth Ram, going into a 89 IROC with the stock 305 in it. The car should be running the $6E mask which I am not very familer with. Just taking a quick glance through the stock 350 TPI bin I do not see any VE tables. So, does the MAF do all the fueling for this mask? I downloaded the extended spark .xdf. I did a little reasearch on LV8 and think I sort of understand that. I know that the conversion to $0D started over at Thirdgen.org. I really do not want to do that unless I have to. I would like to learn this mask if I can.

I do have some experience with the 91-92 Camaro speed density stuff If that would be easier.

if you know 8D and like 8D, expect to use 8D, at least eventually if you get fed up with 6E.

    6E is all MAF.

    6E is all MAF.
    What he said x2

A few wire changes to the ECM connectors and a few wire changes under the hood, and $8D can easily be done.

Ok, thanks. I was reading about the swap over at thirdgen, and saw an issue about the VSS. But, I also saw the fix for it, the VSS flag that needs to be turned off.

What about the VE and Spark tables only going to 5600 RPM? This engine should see 6000 for the cut off. Does the fueling and timing stay the same from 5600 up to 6000?

I'm thinking the attached .xdf will allow 6400 RPM.

Ok, I'm thinking VE is 6400, your posting SA to 5600.

it's possible to make the SA table go to 6400 as well..... but i really don't see much benefit from it.
