Fuel Injected!
Hello everyone.
Hello all. I am coming on board with my little project below. I may seek some help from the vast amount of experience that I am sure frequents this forum from time to time.
Here is my first real foray into modifying a vehicle. I've done plenty of work on vehicles, but never modified any beyond stock before.

She's an 89 Pontiac Firebird. Came with the TBI 305 seen below.

A little dirty but she'll clean right up.
the whole package.jpg
Got the whole package pulled out because the head gasket blew when she overheated after the temp sensor failed in the middle of July. The good old 700R4 is also in need of some rebuilding due to slippage.

Got it all apart and suspended on the stand and started breaking it down.

Yep, she's blown.

Coolant was leaking in through the top of the gasket on cylinder 2.

Broke the rest of it down for a rebuild and she looks good. Then I got to thinking about it. Since I've already got it all pulled, why not drop something else in there with a little mo power?
So that's where I am at. I have a 350 block and some Vortec heads that I am going to try and slap in there. I've got my work cut out for me.
Regards,
Resin
