    16197427 $OD mask VE tables

Okay, so I am making a lot of progress in the way of getting my VE tables fine tuned and getting the car running right, but I had a couple questions that I needed to get answered to make sure I understand this PCM. Everyone, including myself, that has tuned a 427 PCM knows that there are 2 VE tables for fueling. One table is the main open throttle table and the other is the idle VE table. There are 2 main parameters that tell the PCM which table to use and they are maximum TPS for idle VE and maximum MPH for idle VE. I think that I know the answer but want to ask the question anyway. The question is, if the values are not within range to meet BOTH parameters then the PCM will use the open throttle VE table, correct ? Example; the max mph for idle VE is 3mph and the max tps for idle VE is 2.7%. The actual vehicle speed is 15mph but the tps is 0%. In this scenario the PCM would still use the open throttle VE table because the car is moving faster than 3mph even though the tps is below 2.7%, correct ? If so, then if the vehicle speed was 0mph (accelerating from a dead stop) but the tps was at 10%, the PCM would also use the open throttle VE table, correct ? I have got the car running pretty good and now I'm fine tuning the spots here and there that are a little ouf of whack so that the car doesn't start doing funny things again once I re-enable the INT and BLM. Thanks in advance,
    Phil

Yes, you got it. I actually have flags setup in the dashboard in TP5 to tell me when I am running off the idle table for both fuel and spark.

I did the same to my dash, but I only have it set up for the spark table. Makes it handy to see when your switching.

The flags on the dashboard would definitely help avoid confusion. That leads to another question though lol. I have forgotten how to add a flag to the dash in TP5. I can get to the data item list, but couldn't figure out how to change to the flag list to change an item. I was messing around with the dash last night and got stumped. Anyway, thanks for the answers. I thought I had it right but I wanted to make sure that I was making changes to the right table.

Right click on a Bitmask gauge on dashboard and choose the item like Idle Spark Enabled. Some gauges are Values and some are Bitmasks.
