Hi all,

I have, in the past, used an ALDL Cable to hook various OBD1 vehicles to my laptop for trouble-shooting, tuning, and fun. As I recall, it was a serial port connection; not USB. (It was years ago.)

Fast forward to now. I would like to make, or buy, a cable to hook OBD1 systems to an Android device such as a Tablet computer. Specifically, I would like to mount an 11" Tablet to the dash of my 1994 OBD1 GMC pickup, hooked into the ALDL connector, and run a "virtual instrument panel" on it.

Can someone point me to OBD1 cables (buy and/or diy) that hook to the small USB ports on Android devices, and recommend Android OBD1 software??

Thanks a bunch!
