Unhappy Tunerpro and ACSU bin off stock chip

Hello: Pardon the newbie question; I'm new to tuning. I read the bin off my stock ACSU chip out of a 1227747 PCM. After loading it in Tunerpro with the requisite mask file, I seem to be getting some weird results. I wanted to adjust the idle and pulled up the Desired C/L Idle (assuming this is where idle is stored) and got the attached: values were all over the place and didn't make sense. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong here? Thanks in advance!

Oddly, I also tried burning the ARJU bin to a 2732A chip and after plugging it into the 1227747 PCM it yielded a fast flashing check engine light. I was able to do this just fine two weeks ago with the 1228747 bin and mask off this site. Plugged that chip into a 1228747 PCM and it worked like a champ. After finding out the 1228747 doesn't come with knock sensor input, I have to go back to the 1227747 PCM

Curious why you don't post the files to check?

This isn't magic or sorcery; if you plugged the chip into its intended PCM and it ran just fine, then the problem is not the BIN nor the chip nor your burn process to put said BIN onto that chip. The problem is either the other PCM has a fault, or this particular BIN is simply incompatible with the other PCM. There are no other possibilities.

EDIT: Well, I suppose there's also putting the chip in upside-down. That would have the same effect.

Good point on the chip being backwards. I triple checked it and the orientation was correct. Like you say, it's possible the PCM isn't equipped for that bin; I had not considered that. I thought the 1227747 was pretty consistent across all bins. FWIW, I put the original chip back in and it worked fine so not likely a faulty PCM.

Note: the 1228747 experiment was a completely separate chip and PCM. That worked like a charm. Load the bin, make the adjustments, burn the adjusted bin to a chip, plug it into the PCM and go. Where I got stuck this week was step 2: making the adjustments. When I loaded the bin into tunerpro, it looked all weird. Then burning a stock ARJU bin to a chip yielded the flashing check engine light. Like you say.. likely an incompatible bin and PCM.

Why is it only 2KB? BINs for this generation/2732A are 4KB.

I'd say your read process was incorrect.

Indeed. That is definitely a problem. Back to the drawing board! Thank you!
