    Short introduction and current project

    Hi!

Glad to have joined these forums, after lurking around for a while.

Lots of fantastic resources for tuning, and probably wouldn't have had the guts to do the project I'm doing now if not for this community, restoring and upgrading a 3.4l V6 93 F-Body, nurturing it to good health and beyond (LX9 swap, among a lot of other things).

A part of that process, I'm upgrading to a 94 3.4 F-Body PCM (16196397), in attempting to avoid the EPROM process going on in the 93 ECM (16172693), since EEPROM seems like everything I would want in learning tuning, as part of my first project.

Shoutout and big thanks to steveo and kur4o (see for example: http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Inj...ack-v6-EDITION) as well as of course RobertISaar (see for example: http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Inj...rmation-P66-V6) since you're work is making my project very possible, and within reach.

But I know there will be a lot of others to give my thanks for in time. So thank y'all, and greetings!

sounds like a good project, we definitely have a lot of tools for that thing. definitely recommend programming with flashhack. the v6 flash routine in there hasn't been tested as much as i'd like but it's your best chance of not bricking that thing during a flash. it's truly a collaboration between me and kur4o since i've never had a V6 ecm here in my workshop, i wrote the program while he figured out how the thing worked and did the testing. probably the hardest way to write a complicated tool like that but it seems to have worked out.

    Thank you!

steveo, awesome, thank you for your supportive reply! Will definitely go with your recommendation and software. I saw your excellent work in the other posts, with your software making this setup something of a hidden gem. Looking forward getting there with the project, cheers!!
