Title says it all just wondering if this will work, I'm reading mixed things. Some say it will be fine others say it will need the 96/97 valve body and solenoids which is no big deal just trying to plan ahead. Built my 95 4l60e up a couple years ago when I built my 355 tbi but after a few years of not really being satisfied with the engine I'm swapping in a 6.0

Likely 96 / 97 valve body is a good plan for the '0411.
The 96 / 97 chevy pickup black box computers were not well supported, prompting many 96 / 97 chevy pickups to be upgraded to the '0411.
My 95 4l60e seems to be running just fine with the torquehead 24x conversion 411. Can't imagine there is that much magic they have going on so i would assume you could also do it pretty easily.
im running a 95 caprice 4l60e in a 87 el camino with one of the newer p59 mexican 5.7 cal files. it works just fine.
