DA Data Error Just Recently Became a Problem

    Hi Guys

I have been data logging and emulating for approx 2 years with no issues. Just recently, I have been getting the DA Data Error. It will record all day if I idle the engine, but as soon as I start to load the engine and take the engine over 1500-1800 RPM, it errors out.

    350 CID
    16168625 PCM
    Moates ALDL USB cable
    Moates Ostrich 2

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Fallflight

That has got to be a huge log file!

OK seriously it sounds like a loose wire or connection? Like when you accelerate?

Which mask ID are you running on that PCM? $E6?

Does it do the same running a Trans datastream?

Are there any codes set after a restart?

It is $E6 on a boat so no trans, with a Howell tune.

To make sure it's not the datastream, do a bin compare to the last known good revision and make sure the only differences are the ones that you changed. I had a bad cable that once uploaded the first half of the .bin but then screwed up the rest of it, it ran like crap.

This thing has an alternator? Could it be an over-voltage issue?

    Post up a log.

Voltage is always an issue with EFI. This is a conversion on a boat so grounding is an even multiplied issue!

But it did get good data before, so either a wiring issue or like Greg mentioned... another wiring issue messing up bin.
