1990 firebird 350 aldl cable tuning

hi everyone i recently purchased a aldl cable from moates to tune and datalog on my 90 firebird 350, i can hook up the cable and get a solid connection from the car to the computer but i can never seem to make any changes to the computer and tune the car. Am i using the wrong files for to tune it? im using the aujp_90_f-car_5_7 bin, 8d.adx, and the $8d.xdf files with tunerpro rt. i am pretty new to this and know just about nothing. help would be appreciated

With a ALDL cable with your application, sorry to inform you that all you're gonna be able to see is the data. To alter the tune/PROM, you're going to need additional hardware like a chip/PROM burner i.e. Moates Burn1 You'll also need blank PROMs that you can write the new tune to. To make the newly written PROM to work with your 1227730 ECM, I'd recommend Moates G1 adapter. I would also consider a low profile zif to make chip swapping faster/easier.
